First off, you are paying more than you should. You should really take a look at other providers to see what other options you have. Unlike Godaddy, many other hosting companies are unlimited when it comes to how domains can you host on one account, unlimited email account, as much disk space as you need and many other features/software to use for your website.
Go ahead and login to your Godaddy account and review your statement and review what services you have, what they do and how much you are paying for all of it. Now go look at some others, you will be surprised how much you can get for $9.99/month. (No, you can relax I’m not selling hosting.)
Time and time again I’m asked to work on a client’s site that is hosted on Godaddy, and each time I cringe. It has come to the point that I now have to charge more if a site I am working on is hosted on GoDaddy. No 2 accounts are ever the same. The interface and control panel is useless and slower then any others I work with.
Once again today I had to move 2 WordPress sites off of GoDaddy Hosting. The client had simply had enough of what he was forced to put up with.
My forms keep stop working for no reason what so ever. Customers complained that I wasn’t responding to their request but I never got it. It was working fine and no changes had been made what so ever. I tried to login to my Dashboard and saw nothing more than the “White Screen of Death”. My Plugins stopped working, help!
Each time I would call for help and got no where slowly but found myself being presented with numerous opportunities to buy more services that could help in the future etc. I need this problem fixed before I think about buying more things that will just stop working for no reason. And on and on ……
Move my sites NOW!!!! Get me out of here ASAP!!!!
Godaddy is popular but are they the provider for you?
I have worked with a variety of clients that picked GoDaddy as their hosting provider for their WordPress Blog and time and time again I run into limitations and problems that I don’t normally encounter with other hosting providers.
Yes, hosting providers vary and offer different features, services and pricing for the services and options they offer. They are not all the same!
WordPress Plugins are what lets you use WordPress for more than just a blog. A Plugin could be just a simple image slideshow or a full functioning Online Store and any where in between.
I work with a lot of client site’s and each one is unique. If you have a WordPress website, chances are you haven’t seen too many others and have little reason to think there is any difference from one to the next. Truth is that there is a huge difference. No two WordPress sites are identical.
